Strengths

I have been studying the reconstruction of the global environment from about 10,000 years ago to the present in the seas around Japan and the Antarctic area using the ostracods (microfossil).

Ostracods have been found in strata dating back to about 480 million years ago and now live in wide water areas from freshwater marsh to deep marine. In addition, I joined the 61st Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition to reconstruct the paleoenvironment through geological and oceanographic research around Antarctica.
